Startup Chile Roadshow 2025 Opens Global Gateway for Indian Founders

Startup Chile, in collaboration with ProChile India, completed a three-day roadshow across India to position Chile as a strategic gateway for Indian startups aiming to scale into Latin America. The delegation met with leading Indian incubators, ministries, industry associations, and entrepreneurs through high-level meetings, pitchathons, and networking sessions designed to accelerate cross-border collaboration.

A Three-Day Agenda Focused on Collaboration

The roadshow opened with a visit and presentation at AIC BIMTECH, followed by an online exchange with India SME Forum and an elevator pitch session featuring 15 promising startups. The day concluded with the WISE Tech India Pitchathon – Chile Edition, hosted by ProChile India and organized in partnership with SPJIMR WISE Tech and Startup Chile.

Over the following days, the delegation held strategic discussions with stakeholders from Startup India, CSIR, FICCI, and the Ministry of Electronics & IT’s startup ecosystem, as well as engagements with DEEPBIO labs and other key partners. Roundtables with policymakers and innovation leaders underscored a shared commitment to building a long-term corridor for innovation between India and Chile.

Spotlight on High-Impact Innovation

The WISE Tech India Pitchathon 2025 – Chile Edition highlighted early-stage technologies in agritech, healthtech, sustainability, IoT, and civic tech. Founders received feedback from experts, connected with investors, and engaged directly with Chilean stakeholders, creating a practical bridge for validation and market entry across regions.

Voices from the Roadshow

“Through ProChile, we are proud to showcase Chile as a gateway to Latin America for Indian founders,” said Jorge Loyola Castro, Chile’s Trade Commissioner to India. “The roadshow highlights how collaboration can unlock global opportunities. We are keen on building a corridor so Indian and Chilean startups can take off.”

“This collaboration demonstrates the potential of cross-border innovation ecosystems,” added Amparo Paredes, Chief Marketing Officer at Startup Chile. “We are thrilled to support Indian startups as they explore Latin America and expand their global footprint.”

Why Chile Matters for Indian Startups

Chile has emerged as a regional leader in renewable energy, agritech, biotech, healthtech, and sustainable innovation. Through Startup Chile and allied partners, Indian founders can access:

  • Soft-landing support for market entry and early operations
  • Equity-free funding and non-dilutive benefits
  • Mentorship from experienced operators and investors
  • Connections to customers, partners, and pilot opportunities across Latin America

These offerings, coupled with Chile’s stable business environment and strong innovation policy framework, create a compelling value proposition for Indian ventures looking to diversify and scale globally.

Building a Two-Way Innovation Corridor

The roadshow emphasized knowledge exchange, one-on-one pitch feedback, and institution-level partnerships. By aligning accelerators, government programs, and industry bodies, both countries aim to reduce friction for startups seeking cross-border pilots, regulatory clarity, and access to customers.

Engagements with stakeholders from the Department of Science & Technology and other national innovation bodies reinforced the shared vision: a resilient, two-way corridor that supports co-creation, joint R&D, and market expansion for founders from India and Chile.

What Comes Next

Following the roadshow, participating organizations plan to deepen cooperation through upcoming calls for startups, soft-landing pathways, and curated investor and customer connections. The momentum generated is expected to translate into pilot projects, sector-focused cohorts, and mentorship networks tailored to help founders localize solutions for Latin American markets while tapping into India’s innovation strengths.

By combining ecosystem knowledge, structured pitch opportunities, and policy-level engagement, the Startup Chile Roadshow 2025 offers Indian entrepreneurs a practical launchpad to globalize their products—while advancing a broader partnership between two dynamic innovation economies.
