Sales Specialist – digital and green transformation of the shipping industry

Help accelerate the maritime sector’s digital and sustainable transformation. As a Sales Specialist, you will drive the adoption of advanced digital services that improve vessel and fleet performance, enhance energy efficiency, and support compliance with environmental regulations. You will work closely with customers across Denmark and the Nordics, positioning a market-leading portfolio that enables smarter, cleaner, and more resilient operations.

About the role

This role focuses on consultative sales of digital service solutions for shipowners, operators, and ports. You will identify opportunities, articulate business value, and guide customers through their digital journey—from performance transparency and emissions monitoring to cybersecurity and advanced analytics. You don’t need to be an IT specialist; what matters is your ability to understand customer challenges, translate technology into measurable value, and collaborate with product and technical experts to deliver the right solution.

What you will do

  • Drive end-to-end sales of maritime digital services, including vessel and fleet performance analytics, fuel and emissions monitoring, and energy efficiency optimization.
  • Promote value-adding tools such as performance dashboards, remote diagnostics, predictive services, and fleet cybersecurity offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Danish and Nordic shipowners and ports, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Map stakeholder needs and pain points, quantify ROI, and craft compelling proposals and business cases.
  • Track market trends and the competitive landscape to position advanced, integrated solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and technical teams to differentiate technological strengths and ensure successful scoping and delivery.
  • Support the Central Europe Sales Team by sharing best practices and leading the implementation of sales initiatives for advanced services.
  • Champion the digital agenda as a key lever for compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence.

What you bring

  • Proven experience in sales of digital services or SaaS solutions, ideally within maritime, industrial, or energy sectors.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and translate them into business outcomes.
  • Strong networking and stakeholder management skills across technical, operational, and executive levels.
  • Commercial acumen with a consultative, value-based approach to selling.
  • Familiarity with areas such as data platforms, cloud services, APIs, and cybersecurity (OT/IT) is an advantage.
  • Curiosity, resilience, and a collaborative mindset—comfortable working across borders and disciplines.
  • Fluency in Danish and English.

Why join

  • Make a real impact on decarbonization and operational efficiency in a rapidly evolving market.
  • Work with a broad, industry-leading digital portfolio and a strong brand foundation.
  • Be part of an ambitious, international team culture that values care, courage, curiosity, and collaboration.
  • Benefit from continuous learning, professional development, and knowledge sharing across regions.
  • Enjoy a supportive environment that prioritizes well-being, diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities.

Work setup

  • Primary location: Ballerup office, with flexibility to work from home a few days per week.
  • Close collaboration with international colleagues and cross-border teams.
  • Customer-facing role with regular engagement across Denmark and the Nordics.

Application

  • Application deadline: 09.01.2026.
