Tata Steel Signs MoU to Empower Startups
In an exciting development for the startup ecosystem, Tata Steel has entered into a collaboration with IIT-Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Park (IIT-BBSR REP) and India Accelerator (IA) to launch the ‘Tomorrow LAB Accelerator Programme’ (TLAP). This six-month initiative is designed to provide emerging startups with the resources and support needed for accelerated growth and success.
The ‘Tomorrow LAB Accelerator Programme’ aims to offer a nurturing environment that not only promotes the growth of startups but also strengthens industry connections, facilitating a smoother path toward their entrepreneurial journey. By bridging the gap between academia and industry, the program creates a dynamic environment where startups can thrive, drawing on valuable resources and mentorship to transform entrepreneurial ideas into viable and sustainable businesses.
Subodh Pandey, Vice President – Technology, R&D, NMB and Graphene at Tata Steel, expressed optimism about the program, stating, “Tata Steel has been collaborating with industry and academia partners for several years to advance our sustainability goals. We see enormous potential in the Indian startup ecosystem, where young innovators are actively working on solutions to address some of the most pressing business challenges.”
Odisha has become an important player in boosting the startup ecosystem. Initiatives like ‘100Cube’ play a significant role in furthering this objective, demonstrating the region’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
Such partnerships and programs are crucial in today’s competitive business landscape. By providing startups access to industry leaders, technological resources, and expert guidance, initiatives like TLAP empower entrepreneurs to develop and scale their solutions effectively.
The program, a collaborative effort by Tata Steel, IIT-BBSR REP, and IA, seeks to create a supportive platform where ideas can flourish, ultimately contributing to the broader vision of sustainable business practices and innovation.
