Govt launches nationwide program AI Seekho 2026
The government has launched AI Seekho 2026, a nationwide up-skilling program designed to equip people across Pakistan with essential artificial intelligence skills and open new pathways to economic opportunity.
Through this initiative, participants will be connected with National Incubation Centers, the Pakistan Startup Fund, and a range of global platforms, helping them explore training, collaboration, and market access in the fast-growing AI landscape.
Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima emphasized that Pakistan has made AI a central national priority and has developed its first National AI Policy to guide responsible innovation and growth. She noted that the government aims to train one million young people in AI, with a special focus on including non-technical learners so that opportunities are accessible to all.
Under AI Seekho 2026, the Ministry of IT—working with support from Google—has also set a target to upskill more than 100,000 developers, strengthening the country’s technical workforce and accelerating the adoption of AI tools and practices across sectors.
