Govt launches nationwide program AI Seekho 2026

The government has launched AI Seekho 2026, a nationwide up-skilling program designed to equip people across Pakistan with essential artificial intelligence skills and open new pathways to economic opportunity.

Through this initiative, participants will be connected with National Incubation Centers, the Pakistan Startup Fund, and a range of global platforms, helping them explore training, collaboration, and market access in the fast-growing AI landscape.

Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima emphasized that Pakistan has made AI a central national priority and has developed its first National AI Policy to guide responsible innovation and growth. She noted that the government aims to train one million young people in AI, with a special focus on including non-technical learners so that opportunities are accessible to all.

Under AI Seekho 2026, the Ministry of IT—working with support from Google—has also set a target to upskill more than 100,000 developers, strengthening the country’s technical workforce and accelerating the adoption of AI tools and practices across sectors.

Key objectives

  • Build nationwide AI literacy and practical skills for both technical and non-technical participants.
  • Connect learners with innovation hubs like National Incubation Centers and catalytic funding through the Pakistan Startup Fund.
  • Increase employability and entrepreneurship by aligning talent with global platforms and opportunities.
  • Advance the goals of the National AI Policy by promoting responsible, inclusive, and skills-driven growth.

How AI Seekho 2026 supports participants

  • Pathways for non-technical learners to get started with AI concepts and tools.
  • Specialized upskilling tracks for developers, backed by industry support.
  • Exposure to startup ecosystems, potential funding avenues, and mentorship through established innovation networks.
  • Linkages to global platforms to showcase skills and access emerging markets.

Why this matters

AI skills are increasingly essential for jobs across industries. By embedding AI education into national priorities and creating strong connections to incubation, funding, and international platforms, AI Seekho 2026 aims to expand high-quality opportunities, drive innovation, and strengthen Pakistan’s digital economy.

What comes next

As the rollout progresses, the Ministry of IT is expected to share more details on enrollment, training tracks, and implementation timelines. With a nationwide scope and a focus on inclusion, AI Seekho 2026 is positioned to help learners and professionals prepare for the future of work.
