Date: February 28, 2024

In a significant move towards facilitating digital transformation among small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Telkom Indonesia, in collaboration with Huawei, unveiled the first Bundle Package for SMEs in Asia Pacific. This groundbreaking launch took place at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2024, marking a pivotal step in supporting SMEs in Indonesia to accelerate their digital transformation journey.

The announcement was made in the presence of key figures including FM Venusiana R, Director of Enterprise & Business Service of Telkom; Michael Ma, Vice President of Huawei, President of ICT Product Portfolio Management & Solution; and Jennifer Zhang, CTO of Carrier XtoB Marketing & Solution Sales Dept., Huawei.

With small and medium-sized enterprises accounting for 99% of Indonesia’s gross domestic product (GDP), their role in driving innovation, increasing exports, and promoting social inclusion is undeniable. However, these enterprises face significant challenges in their digital transformation journey, including complex requirements, difficult maintenance, and high risks. Addressing these hurdles, Telkom and Huawei’s Bundle Package aims to offer a cost-effective, easily deployable, and manageable solution. This package includes a range of industry-leading products and services tailored for various application scenarios, enabling SMEs to customize according to their specific needs and achieve efficiency gains.

The Bundle Package primarily focuses on four key sectors: retail chains, hotels, real estate, and education campuses. It combines leading products and services, including converged private lines, Wi-Fi services, cloud services, an intelligent video management and analytics platform, and related installation services.

Speaking on the initiative, FM Venusiana R highlighted the competitive edge this package brings to the SME market through innovative products and the inclusion of an intelligent video management and analytics platform, which is being commercially deployed in Indonesia for the first time. She estimated that the Bundle Package would attract about 420,000 users over the next three years, impacting both existing and new customers.

Michael Ma shared insights into the strategic cooperation between Huawei and Telkom, emphasizing the mutual goal of driving growth across various domains, including B2B, cloud, and data centers. He underscored the significance of the launched Bundle Package as a milestone in B2B partnership and a step forward in Huawei’s collaboration with carriers for deploying B2B solutions in Indonesia.

The collaboration between Telkom and Huawei represents a shared commitment to spearheading digital transformation among Indonesian SMEs, thereby generating new employment opportunities and contributing to economic prosperity. As part of this ongoing endeavor, both entities will continue to develop innovative technologies, products, and applications to foster economic growth in Indonesia.

The MWC Barcelona 2024 stands as a platform for sharing the latest advancements in the digital arena, with Huawei showcasing its novel products and solutions. This event also marks a significant moment for the telecommunications industry, with the anticipation of the 2024 commercial launch of 5.5G paving the way for a new era in intelligent digital transformation.
