Robot electronic-skin startup MoSense raises around RMB 100 million in angel-plus funding

Shanghai-based robotics startup MoSense has secured approximately RMB 100 million ($14 million) in an angel-plus financing round. CDH Investments and Oasis Capital led the funding.

Additional participants included LimX Dynamics, Loongson Venture Capital, CAS Star, Hua Capital, and Pudong Venture Capital Group.

Founded in May 2026 by a team with ties to the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, MoSense develops full-body tactile sensing systems that enable robots to detect and interpret physical contact.

The company’s technology combines electronic skin with tactile-processing algorithms. Its MoSkin hardware incorporates sensors into robots’ structural components, while the MoTact system processes the resulting tactile signals.

MoSense is collaborating with robot manufacturers to deploy its technology in commercial machines. It is also developing MoWorld, a model designed to use tactile feedback to improve robotic motion control and physical interactions.
